Friends of McKinney Falls is the all volunteer, official non-profit 501(c)(3) supporter of McKinney Falls State Park, the only state park in Austin.
"Our mission is to serve as responsible stewards of the cultural and natural resources, support educational programs, and foster an inclusive environment for present and future generations. We support our mission through volunteer work, special projects, fundraising, and community outreach." We are a fun-loving group of people from all walks of life coming up with new ideas and ways to help our beloved park, it's guests and it's mighty but small, hardworking staff. That's why we need YOU! We need your fresh ideas for fundraising and supporting the park in ways we have yet to come up with...YOU might have that idea! Join us in helping to support one of the last wild places in Austin and to help us tell the story of a place that’s been visited by people for over 8,000 years. WOW! That's a LONG time! Must be something special about this place...(: |
