The Event
Check-in will begin at 9:30 a.m. with the fun run starting at 10:00 a.m. Registration includes park entry, a Friends of McKinney Falls bandanna, and an after-race celebration with community partners and a hot chocolate bar!
The Route
The race will start and end at the Smith Visitor Center, near Upper Falls. Participants will run or walk on the Onion Creek Hike and Bike Trail, a paved trail that goes past Upper Falls, the picnic area, the campground, and eventually back to the Smith Visitor Center. The paved portion is 2.8 miles. For those participants wanting a full 5K or wanting to explore some new terrain, runners can opt for the trail reroute and extension (note that this portion is unpaved).
As this event is a fundraiser for the park, refunds will not be offered in case of inclement weather.
